BPC-157 research
Preclinical studies have explored angiogenesis, fibroblast activity, tendon and muscle models, gastrointestinal protection and inflammatory pathways. A 2025 review described broad preclinical support but only a handful of small, uncontrolled human pilot studies.
Thymosin beta-4 / TB-500 research
Thymosin beta-4 biology includes actin sequestration, cell migration and repair signaling. Published clinical research exists for specific thymosin beta-4 preparations in areas such as dermal and corneal repair. However, a commercial substance labeled TB-500 should not automatically be represented as equivalent to full-length thymosin beta-4 used in a particular trial.
Why the combination interests researchers
The two research areas overlap around cell migration, blood-vessel signaling, connective-tissue biology and injury-response pathways. That provides a scientific rationale for studying them together, but rationale is not the same as demonstrated combination efficacy.
Evidence limitations
There are no robust randomized human trials establishing that the BPC-157/TB-500 combination heals tendons, repairs joints, speeds athletic recovery or treats injury. Those would be therapeutic claims and go beyond the available evidence.
